Observations at the Wildlife World Zoo in Litchfield, Arizona, began in 2011 with the start of the “Operation Orion” campaign.
When Orion was returned to Wildlife World Zoo in October 2011, we were thrilled that they took responsibility and brought him back from the unsuitable conditions he was exposed to during his time at Claws ‘n’ Paws. At the time, we had no concerns regarding the animals or exhibits at the Wildlife World Zoo. However, in 2012 conditions at the zoo began to decline. This prompted further investigation into the zoo. Note: Unlike most of our observations, for this facility, we have also been working with an independent third party on various issues.
